TEXT MESSAGING AND CELL PHONE USE HAS TAKEN-OVER OUR MEETINGS!

Yes it's true !

Phones ring when we open our meetings and phones ring when we close our meetings.

Scouts are distracted by numerous text messages received when at line-up and also throughout every one of our meetings.

It has gotten to the point that we have let this technology rule our meetings and we are starting to suffer because of it.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY - PLEASE TURN-OFF YOUR CELL PHONES BEFORE COMING INTO THE HALL FOR OUR WEEKLY MEETINGS ! (If you only put them on vibrate, you will still be distracted and you will distract others while you check your messages). GET THE MOST OUT OF EVERY MEETING! - Just turn them off please.

You can go for 1 and 1/2 hours without messaging. I know you can do it! - I have seen it happen once before !

(If you have a family emergency and need to have your phone turned-on, please let the leadership know before the meetings).
